So from my first post I don’t want anyone to think I’m super healthy every single meal!! I’m still human!! But overall we do really well. We don’t buy foods with preservatives, we eat mostly organic and when we aren’t eating fish we catch or venison we do buy antibiotic and hormone free meat. And believe it or not it’s not hard to eat this way! It comes down to only buying real foods. Then flavoring that food with herbs and spices. It’s amazing what onion and garlic will do to a meal as well! Below I will post one of my favorite homemade salad dressings. My 1 year old will eat it!
I usually use this recipe on organic mixed greens with organic carrots,  organic cucumbers, organic tomatoes, and feta. This recipe is for a large salad.
  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar (sulphite free if possible)
  • 2 tablespoons organic olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon local honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard¬†
  • 1 clove organic garlic
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon
Mix it all up and put on your salad!
